Alex seems to be doing really well on If I Can Dream. He’s writing a new song every other day it feels like, and his determination and real PASSION for his music is incredibly impressive. They’ve set him up with a vocal coach who I absolutely adore, and he also has songwriting sessions with different artists and writers, one in particular was Kevin Griffin of Better Than Ezra. He was in studio ALREADY to record his new song Butterflies, and he looks to be settling in to the house great…

Last week he did a vlog with a little message to me. Wanted to post it so those who haven’t seen it, can see what a sweetheart he is. As for the Ellen remark… I have no idea yet ;) but I thought it was adorable regardless.

Lastly, Alex did an interview last week with Josh Skinner of withjosh.com, and it was videotaped and done in two parts. It’s a FANTASTIC interview though, you should definitely check it out if you can.

Other than that, I also wanted to say that during the whole petition, and shortly after, I read every single email everyone sent me. I know I wasn’t able to respond to every person individually, but I somehow managed to reply to over 7,000 that week! I thought I was basically giving myself carpal tunnel with every word I typed, haha ;) But I did want to thank you everyone for the support. I never really had a chance to send out a little thank you, but just so you all know… I haven’t forgotten. What you helped me accomplish ended up being far bigger than I realized it would be… and even more importantly, Alex got a second chance at his dream. I’ve seen him do countless interviews, vlogs, etc… and he is always thanking all of you who signed and helped spread the word about the petition. Just so you know, in case you haven’t really seen anything… he mentions it a lot. You should be proud of yourselves! We created a massive movement that actually worked! Maybe it went in a different direction… but it went somewhere, and I think that’s beyond amazing. So again… I apologize if you never received an email reply back from me, but please know that, while those 2 and a half weeks were ridiculously stressful and sleep depriving, haha… they were so worth it. Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart for all your emails, all of your kind words, all of your jokes to get me through the insanity haha… and most importantly, your support.

in other news, my friend kim got married last weekend back home in jersey… and i had so much fun, i haven’t been to a wedding in well over 2 years.
it was also nice to have my family together for a few hours, haha… we’re always all over the place.
