well hello.
i finally have a chance to write in here about the last few days of my trip.
after my random birthday kiss and debauchery with the adorable simon and his sidekick henry, i finally made my way over to oxford circus to meet up with matt. it’s been like 5 months, so i was beyond giddy to see him, truly… he’s really become someone super pleasant to have in my life. hah.
he brought me back this chinese hair pin thing from his trip to hong kong… was very cool. i’ve worn it a couple of times already… looks so pretty. (thank you!)
we went late night shopping at sainsbury’s, and stocked up on chocolate and cereal – but seriously… the chocolate there? oh my god. haha… i was addicted. he had to work in the morning, so he ended up just spending the night. i only got a few hours of sleep though, because he failed to remind me that he sleeps DIAGONALLY… so one time i woke up almost falling off the bed, and the other time i woke up with an elbow in my back. i wanted to smack him, haha.
i slept in for a little after he left for work… and then spent the rest of the day in covent garden (my favorite place there) shopping and relaxing. i also went on this guide walk (i figured what the hell, i’m by myself, what else am i really doing)…
it was called apparitions, alleyways, and ale.
and ironically, my guide’s name was simon. ha.
but it was so good. london is so haunted… i love it! lol. plus, i learned a bunch of random facts and stories about some weird shit that i would have never known otherwise. i’m a nerd like that, what can i say. ;)

matt ended up not going to work on friday, so we met up around 4pm and went to the london dungeons.
let me tell you… i was peeing my pants. i went in to go get the tickets before he got there, and i walked down this dark corridor, ran into this very large devil type stone figure making crazy noises, and turned right around and walked back out. lol. i was like hellllll NO. i’ll wait for him. thanks.

he finally gets there, we go in, we didn’t even get past the ticket station yet, and i was already clawing my way into his shirt. of course he thought it was hilarious… meanwhile… i was terrified. like on one hand, i LOVED it… everything was so cool and scary and all the sets and what not were so real… but on the other hand, i was still shitting my pants. hehe. but it turned out to be SO MUCH FUN, i absolutely loved it. we went through the lost maze of death, or something retarded like that… but it was all mirrors and kinda looked like the inside of hogwarts, lol… and people are trying to find the exit… i was just afraid someone was gonna jump out at me… so literally seconds after matt makes fun of everyone and says, “how funny will it be when someone just smacks into a mirror…

he smacks into a mirror.
and i mean smacks. cause i was behind him not letting go and all i hear is this loud thud, and i could not stop laughing.
it was so funny.

there were a ton of different scenes that went on with characters and things like that… they’d bring you in a room, shut the lights, you’d feel breathing on you, hear screaming….. it was great! we got to a part where we had to get in this boat, but that turned out to be retarded. no real dips or anything… i was more so just scared that someone was gonna be on my side of the boat or something. there was a whole jack the ripper skit, a sweeney todd skit, etc… and then you get to the end.

and thats when i panicked.

they basically put you on this mini tower of terror ride… but… i’ve never BEEN on the tower of terror because i’m deathly afraid of the feeling of falling. so the guy tells everyone, “if you are pregnant, or too short… you may not ride this…
so i look at matt, i tell him i’m too short, and i kindly try to go on my way. haha.
he was like, uh, no. you’re going on.
after telling him i hate him about 50 times, he said it won’t be bad at all, and barely high… so i sat down next to him and just dealt with the fact that i was about to actually do this.
so it starts to go up, and it’s going further and further, and i’m freaking out, and THIS ONE over here leans over to me and is all, “oh, wow… i didn’t think it would go this high…
i was like WHAT!?! omg omg omg… literally.
we get to the top, i’m still proclaiming my hate for him, and we drop without notice, lol.
i FLEW out of my seat, and i think that probably scared me more than the free fall feeling, because i had no leverage, and that’s just not cool. hah. so we all got off, walked to the exit, and then went to check out the shop at the end… which had some pretty cool stuff.

matt scully plotting world domination in his sick chair down in the dungeons. yours truly obviously drinking to his world take over. hah

here’s a vid from about 2 minutes after the drop. i think i was still traumatized, LOL… but i will say this… it was AWESOME fun.

and then he completely kicked my ass in guitar hero… which i already knew would happen. i’m sick on the drums =P guitar…. eh.

after those 2 hours of terror, he took me to this place called ping pong so we could get some dinner, and i FELL IN LOVE.
it was the first time i’ve ever tried dim sum, and the food was ridiculously good. they also had these AMAZING teas there… i got a pear & kumquat one, and i think matt had this raspberry and black pepper bubble tea… but holy shit… they were so delicious. i wish we had a ping pong here in america!!!

ping pong dim sum dim sum <~~~that wasn’t even all of the stuff we got =P
