so orlando was awesome, as always. got to see some old friends, made new ones, and lost 3lbs from walking so much haha. i’m not complaining.

friday night we met up with my friend dave, who i haven’t seen since high school (and we won’t discuss how long ago that was lol). he had his friends with him, dean and jc (another lets not discuss topic haha)… and we had dinner and drinks at hard rock over in universal. such a great time. as if that wasn’t enough, since dave works corporate for HR, he managed to get everyone a private tour of the lennon room. everything inside was donated by john and yoko at some point. they rent it out to celebs for parties and private events and what not… but to say i was giddy would be an understatement. in the pics you can see a beat up couch… that couch went everywhere with lennon. EVERYWHERE. and its the same couch that he sat in and wrote every single song you know and probably love to this day. that will stay with me forever. it was such an honor to be allowed in this room, let alone be privy to all of the priceless things inside. JOHN…. LENNON.

it was such a crazy turn of events that night, but again, i’ll never forget it.
we also went backstage to the green room of hard rock and got to check out the signatures all over the walls, and the props from videos and shows, etc. pretty dope.

next day was hogwarts ;) i think i’ve written enough on my adventure there but to reiterate the last few days… it was AMAZING. the butterbeer was to die for… tasted like butter toffee caramel and marshamallow mixed with cream soda. the detail in every inch of the set design was unbelievable. they seriously added every last detail down to the mystery jellybean flavors in honeydukes candy shop.  inside hogwarts castle, we turned a corner and they have these 4D video images of harry, ron, and hermione talking to you as you wait… and i wasn’t paying attention and it looked so real for split second i thought it was rupert grint and i choked on my gum. hahaha. im ridiculous. but i wasn’t expecting it! nice surprise ;) closest i’ll get to my favorite ginger… for now ;)

anyway… we also did the rest of islands of adventure – which… as many times as i’ve been to orlando and did the whole universal/disney/etc thing… i’ve NEVER been to islands of adventure. my entire family has except me. so i had a blasty going on stuff i’ve never been on. went to animal kingdom to visit my sister’s friend jillian and see her finding nemo show. she was nemo ;) and it was adorable… but seriously like a broadway show. haha… so crazy. it was great seeing her too, its been YEARS. the weather was PERFECT, not a cloud in the sky and 80′s all weekend. it was beautiful.

so that was that. for the most part. without getting into novels.
also? if you haven’t already figured it out, haha… i’m moving to florida. there are a ton of opportunities for design careers with disney, if i choose not to work from home like i already do… but also… it’s cheap… as… FUCK… to live there. i’d be paying not half… but LESS than half the rent i’ve paid in my previous places. AND, they’re a hundred times nicer. it amazes me how cheap it is to live down there. but regardless… florida it is. looking at places in winter park if not downtown orlando. so brooklyn is out. i’d be spending triple there on rent from what i would spend in florida. dead serious. plus i have friends there as well… so it should be a good time.

PLUSSSSS….. the perks with disney and universal are ridiculous. that alone is a huge decision maker for me. yes i’m 30 years old and still love disney as if i were 5.

on a sidenote… thank you to everyone for your kind words and prayers in finding out my uncle passed away yesterday. he’s in a much better place… no longer suffering… and with my aunt and grandfather <3
